TCGIQ Is Live: Real Pokémon Card Prices, Not Market Averages

· 2 min read · Blossom Studios

You’re three booths into a Pokémon card show, holding a near-mint Charizard, and the dealer wants to know what you’d take for it. You pull out your phone. The pricing app shows a single number, the “market average,” that’s been sitting unchanged for two weeks. You both stare at it. Neither of you trusts it.

That’s the problem TCGIQ exists to fix.

TCGIQ is now live. It’s a real-time pricing tool for trading cards, built for the moments where the price actually matters: at the booth, mid-negotiation, when the next move costs you money.

Why Market Averages Aren’t Enough

Most pricing tools quote a single number. It’s an opaque average that smooths over condition, recency, and outliers. Those are the three things that actually move price.

TCGIQ shows Fair Range instead: the real low, median, and high from recent verified sales. Pull a card up, pick the condition (NM, LP, MP, HP, DMG), and you get a band that reflects how the market is actually trading right now, not where it traded three weeks ago.

And we show our work. Every Fair Range comes with the five most recent sold listings that backed the calculation, with date and price. If the range looks off, check the math yourself.

Who It’s For

Dealers working a booth. Collectors hunting deals. Traders mid-negotiation. Anyone who needs a fast, honest answer to “what’s this actually worth?” without scrolling through stale comps or generic averages.

The core experience is free. A Pro tier adds graded card data (PSA 9/10, BGS, CGC) and Bundle Mode for negotiating multiple cards at once.

What’s Next

We’re adding more sets, more granular condition data, and faster lookups for high-volume dealers. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your searches stay on your device.

Try TCGIQ free. If you’ve got feedback, we want to hear it.
